Youth Literacy & Online Learning Hubs

Youth and adults living in diaspora settings—particularly in refugee camps and underserved host communities—face significant digital exclusion. Limited access to computers, reliable internet connectivity, and structured digital learning platforms restricts educational advancement, employment opportunities, and entrepreneurship development.

In many displacement environments, families cannot afford personal computers or mobile data packages sufficient for online learning. Schools may lack adequate digital infrastructure, and students often depend on overcrowded or poorly resourced learning spaces. As global education, business, and communication increasingly rely on digital platforms, marginalized communities risk falling further behind.

The digital divide particularly affects youth who aspire to pursue higher education, online certifications, or digital-based income opportunities. Without access to online training, youth miss opportunities to acquire IT skills, coding knowledge, freelancing competencies, and digital entrepreneurship tools. Similarly, adults seeking to improve employability may struggle due to limited computer literacy.

As a result:

•Students face interrupted or limited online learning access

•Youth lack competitive digital skills for modern labor markets

•Entrepreneurship opportunities in digital sectors remain untapped

•Employment prospects remain limited

•Community integration into the digital economy remains weak

Without structured digital access points and targeted digital literacy programs, diaspora communities risk long-term exclusion from educational and economic advancements.

Purpose of the Project

The Digital Literacy & Online Learning Hubs project aims to bridge the digital divide by providing safe, accessible, and well-equipped learning spaces with computers, internet connectivity, and structured digital training programs.
