The Nuba Mountains International Association (NMIA) is led by a diverse and dedicated team of leaders serving with the spirit of teamwork across multiple governance and operational bodies. Together, these leaders provide vision, oversight, management, and community service, ensuring that the Association fulfills its mission with integrity, unity, and accountability.

Together, the current leaders of NMIA form an integrated leadership system that balances democratic governance, professional management, and community participation.  Their collective role is to uphold unity among the Nuba people, deliver effective services, protect institutional integrity, and advance sustainable development for both the diaspora and the homeland.

National Executive Leadership

The National Executive Leadership is responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of NMIA’s programs and policies. Current executive leaders are elected or appointed based on merit, experience, and commitment to community service. They oversee planning, finance, humanitarian response, education, health, advocacy, peacebuilding, and external relations, ensuring coordinated action across all organizational units.

Together, the current leaders of NMIA form an integrated leadership system that balances democratic governance, professional management, and community participation.

Advisory and Council of Elders

The Advisory and Council of Elders  consists of elders, professionals, and subject-matter experts who provide moral guidance, technical advice, and strategic insight.
