While this dual identity can be enriching, many young people experience confusion, identity tension, or cultural disconnection when structured support for heritage preservation is absent.

In many families, intergenerational gaps, language loss, and limited exposure to traditional history and storytelling can gradually weaken cultural continuity. Parents may work long hours or lack formal platforms to transmit cultural knowledge. Meanwhile, youth may feel pressure to assimilate, sometimes distancing themselves from their cultural roots to fit into mainstream settings.

Without organized cultural education and community engagement activities, important elements of language, oral history, traditions, and collective memory risk fading over time. This loss can contribute to:
