Members of the Nuba diaspora living in the United States face increasing language loss as younger generations grow up primarily speaking English. Migration, displacement, and assimilation pressures have significantly reduced opportunities for children and youth to learn and practice indigenous Nuba languages within their households and communities.

As a result, beneficiaries often experience:

Purpose of the Project

The Nuba Language Preservation Classes Project aims to revitalize and preserve Nuba languages within the United States by establishing structured weekend language schools, online language courses, and youth immersion workshops.
