Members of the Nuba diaspora living in the United States face increasing challenges in preserving cultural identity, traditional heritage, and intergenerational connections. Many youth born or raised in the U.S. have limited exposure to traditional Nuba music, dance, wrestling, storytelling, and indigenous cultural practices.

Purpose of the Project

The Nuba Cultural Festival & Heritage Day aims to preserve, celebrate, and promote Nuba cultural identity within the United States by organizing annual cultural celebrations that showcase traditional music, dance, wrestling, storytelling, and artistic exhibitions.

The project seeks to strengthen intergenerational connections, promote unity, and create a platform for cultural pride and positive community engagement.
