Importance of Volunteerism with NMIA
Explore the vital role of volunteers in non-profit organizations and how they contribute to social change and community service.
The Nuba Mountains International Association (NMIA) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, and community-based organization established and led by the indigenous Nuba people in the United States of America.
We exist to unite, empower, and serve the Nuba communities across the U.S. and to extend solidarity, humanitarian aid, and development support to our people in the Nuba Mountains Region of Sudan and beyond.
Our formation reflects the collective will of the Nuba diaspora to come together as one family — overcoming divisions of tribe, religion, or politics — and to work cooperatively for social progress, education, peace, and the restoration of the dignity and rights of the Nuba people.
