Health is the foundation of human dignity and development. The Nuba Mountains International Association (NMIA) recognizes that many Nuba communities — both in the homeland and diaspora — continue to face severe health and sanitation challenges due to years of war, poverty, and limited infrastructure.
Through its Health & Public Sanitation Committee, NMIA works to improve access to basic healthcare, clean water, hygiene education, and preventive services, while also strengthening community-based health systems and capacity for long-term sustainability.
The program promotes a vision of “Healthy People, Healthy Communities” — ensuring that every Nuba person has the right to a safe, healthy, and dignified life.
