The Nuba Mountains International Association (NMIA) unites the Nuba people in the diaspora and homeland to promote education, health, peace, cultural preservation, and community development.
We empower individuals and communities through programs that strengthen leadership, protect human rights, and foster social and economic progress — building a future of dignity, unity, and opportunity for all Nuba people.
We bring together the Nuba people living across the United States to act collectively for their shared heritage, rights, and development.
Through chapters, conferences, and networks, NMIA strengthens solidarity, builds leadership, and fosters cooperation among the Nuba diaspora for a common cause.

Through the Nuba Development & Investment Fund, we promote small business development, agriculture, and vocational initiatives that create jobs and strengthen community resilience in the homeland.
NMIA stands as the voice of the Nuba people in the international community.
We advocate for peace, justice, and equal rights, while raising awareness about human rights violations in the Nuba Mountains.
We also promote reconciliation, inter-community dialogue, and peace education to strengthen social harmony among Nuba groups worldwide.
We support Nuba families in the diaspora to integrate successfully while preserving their cultural identity.
Through cultural festivals, family counseling, and social support networks, NMIA–USA helps build a cohesive, vibrant, and proud Nuba community in the United States.
We collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, churches, educational institutions, and international organizations to expand our impact.

Internally, we focus on strengthening NMIA’s leadership, management, and accountability systems.
